I was reading a book the other day while at the same time listening to the news on the television and although Mark my husband can do both at once and still retain information from both I can't. Strange that because women are meant to be the multi-taskers of our society. When I put the book down which was a Bill Bryson book, I sat back and felt very low. This is not the way a Bill Bryson book usually leaves me, I am often heard laughing out loud. So although I was not really paying attention to either the feel I was left with was feeling dispirited.
I don't know whether you have noticed but there is rarely any good news these days and I have been taking it upon myself to monitor how I feel after each session of news watching and the results are not positive. Things are very hard I know but thinking in a negative frame of mind does not make issues any easier to cope with. some months ago the minister at our Church said that Mother Theresa would never got to a "Stop the War Rally" but if invited she would always try to accept the invitations to a "Peace March"
As a result of this a number of my friends and I have started limiting access to the news to just once a day, in the morning avoiding the late night fixes in the evening and reports so far show that sleep is more beneficial and when waking people are feeling more refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of the day.
Our state of mind is affected by all that surrounds us so make sure that it is the positive things that we take on board while shunning the negative and more destructive feelings.
Think and feel happier and that is what you will attract over the coming days.

An Up and Down Week
Hands up all those who enjoy rollercoaster rides because we have certainly been on one of those these last seven days and it is a worldwide thing. The media has such an effect on all of us and all the news is so immediate it can change ones moods at the drop of a hat.
With Mergers and Bankruptcy's so much in the news as well as falls and rises in currency, we all want to know if we are over the worst. Each day the advice varies, invest in hard assets, will that help the property market. Anything that will boost the property market will have a positive impact but borrowing the money is the huge challenge nowadays. I saw an article that said invest in gold, I think it is a bit late now with the price of gold so high, of course in challenging times the precious metals are always a good bet.
It is fascinating to speculate on next week, how much more is to come, one thing we know is that we don't know and that patience is the name of the game.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
I know, I know, I know, I have been very remiss with my blog posts and to be honest I really cannot tell you where the last month has gone. I am making a commitment here and now to do a blog article at least twice a week. I have scheduled it into my calendar and that way it will get the time it deserves.
We have been busy doing one on ones with many people who have expressed an interest in how we can increase their bottom line. My e-Consulting time is getting busier and busier which is great. There are so many people out there that are spending too much money and not spending it wisely to maximize their return on investment.
We have done a considerable amount of work on our website and the rewards from that are growing every day in the number of hits and resulting enquiries. In the coming week we will be launching the Small Business News page on the website which will have a number of the most relevant business.
We had over 200 people at our Webinar on September 10th on Building Better Business Relationships.
We are holding a Free Webinar on September 25th at 9.00pm EDT which will be recorded for those who cannot attend due to time differences or other commitments. It is called Top 21 Low and No Cost Ways to Market Your Business. We currently have over 160 registrants and it is building well so if you know anyone who would benefit from it please do not hesitate to forward them this link https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/226046454
Please fell free to visit our website at www.demystifyyourbusiness.com and join the forum where we will be discussing many of the challenges that face the young energetic entrepreneur on a weekly basis.

Its been a busy week
Sorry it is so long since I have been in touch but my feet do not seem to have touched the ground this week.
On Tuesday I was a guest on BlogTalk Radio a radio programe with Seann Maxwell on http://maxyourlife.net/Blog/
If you would like to listen to it is the top recording of his shows on this page. It covered the issues of Fear and the Media, and the amount of stuff our brains have to cope with on a daily basis and how this can affect ones mood and indeed ones lives. We are being bombarded with messages from the news, newspapers, advertising, television. billboards etc and they all have an agenda to make us feel a particular way. That way is often negative and we all need to be aware of this.
We have been working on the relaunch of our website of which phase 1 should be completed by the end of the weekend, you can see how we are doing at www.demystifyyourbusiness.com
As I think I told you we are in the process of selling our house and this week has been very quiet but we are still optimistic and think that the coming couple of weeks will be great after the children have returned to school.
We are also preparing for our webinar next week on the topic of Becoming A Better Networker which will be held on Thursday August 21st at 9.00PM EDT. It is Free of Charge. To register please go to https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/358383519
By the end of the webinar you will:-
Understand the types of networking events and networkers and how to get the best out of them
Understand how to plan your networking for maximum effect
Understand the importance of follow-up and how to do it effectively
The webinar will last 60 minutes with a question and answer session afterwards. This webinar will be recorded ... if you can't make it on the night, please make sure you sign up so that you get a copy of the recording.

Webinar tonight
Well things are very hectic here today as we are preparing for our Webinar at 9.00pmEDT this evening. The topic is Top 21 Low and No cost Marketing Ideas for your Business.
We are expecting over 100 attendees this evening and are just finishing off the slides for the presentation. I had an interesting meeting with a lady called Pat Simmons from Webwise Concepts and she has invited me to take part in an all day seminar called Focus on Business which will be coming up in January. All very exciting. I will do the consultancy section of the day and it will be very interactive with lots of hints and tips to help the attendees.
We have had a busy day with our house sale with a broker open house this morning where we have 8 people drop by and this afternoon we had a second showing and a first. So fingers crossed that our home will go to nice owners who love it as much as we do and then we can find a place near the water in Sarasota, perhaps something a little older.

The week - so far so good
I just knew it was going to be an exciting week, just not necessarily in the way I first planned.
We got a call from our realtor yesterday who told us that someone wanted to do a preview followed by a showing with 30 minutes notice so I flew and I mean flew round getting the stray things tidied away, the lights and the fans set, the music playig soft jazz all the time thiking positive house selling thoughts. The realtors met us for the preview and loved the house and thought it would be ideal for their European buyers. the clients were coming at between 2.00 and 3.00 and would be gone at the very latest by 3.30. We put the dogs in the car and went off to explore the area we are looking to buy in to see if anything new had come onto the market inthe last week or two.
We got back at 3.30 and they were still there at 3.45 when they left and we are now waiting tohear what they thought. Keep your fingers crossed for us. That did disrupt our plans a little but we are back on track now. I had a very intersting chat with a British lady called Jessica McGregor Johnson this morningwho is a life coach who has made her home in Spain and coaches clients all over the world by telephone. She uses NLP (NeuroLinguistic Programming) in her coaching methods and I have found NLP to be very effective in the past for issues I have had to deal with.
I have one other telephone consult today plus I will be listening to Seann Maxwell on his internet radio program.
Later on we will be starting the work on our webinar which is coming up this Thursday evening at 9.00PM EDT called The Top 21 Low and No Cost Ways to Market your Business. It free so please contact me if you would like to attend and I will send you a link to register.
I will fill you in on the news later in the day

Here's to having a wonderful week
Good morning everyone from sunny Florida. I was just thinking about what the forthcoming week has in store. I plan to have an exciting week with a number of unexpected opportunities present themselves to me this week. I find that what you plan for and think and visualize about tends to happen; so banish any negative thoughts, quash those fears and nerves and instead of thinking about challenges and hassles think about opportunities to grow learn and develop.
I have two e-Consults today where I have getting to know better people I have met through online networking. Connecting is fine and just the start of growing a long term relationship with people that you can help and that can help you. Take the time to listen and I mean really listen and learn, everyone has gems of knowledge they are happy to share.
Use this to share the gems you have with me and many others; it makes you feel good about yourself and creates a more accepting positive open perspective on life
